This summer I spent few days in Prague, in a city I fell in love with instantly.
But, I will leave that love story for another post.
As I already said, I loved the city but I wasn't so impressed by its shopping offer - shops you see everyday on every corner, cheap and ugly stuff...
My desperation came to an end when one day I was walking trough a small street called 'Skolska' and saw a store called 'The room by basmatee'.
I was drawn by its interior design and great pieces, so I spent some time in there just whimpering and taking photos ( which unfortunately failed ) like a maniac.
The shop was opened at this location at March 2012 but it existed before in a form of an art tee shirt boutique, over the years has evolved into a select shop offering brands like Sixpack, Rascals, Volta, Clae, Onitsuka Tiger, Suit, Ontour, Obey and others. This 'evolution' has created a need of a bigger space and that's why today you can find 'BASMATEE' at 'Skolska 7'. The new direction wanted a new visual identity so they hired Skvadra Architects for interior ( which is absolutely stunning ) and Anymade studio for the graphic design.

The shop now offers everything that a modern man needs : some freakin' good shoes, killer t-shirts, knits, outerwear, pants and some accessories ( great watches ). Females won't be that impressed with the offer because there are very few pieces for the 'tender gender' , but that shouldn't stop them from seeing the shop and getting something for they boyfriends/lovers/brothers/fathers or just admiring the stores interior.
P.S. Direction of 'THE ROOM' doesen't want it to be just a store and a shopping venue so sometimes they throw parties and make it a place for people to hang out.
As I consider myself a decent fashionista I'll be free to suggest you visiting this store if you find yourself shopping desperate in Prague.
